What is keyboard shortcut for Sum function?

Hi,
LibreOffice 3.6.4.3 on Windows XP.

I constantly copy numbers from my txt files to LibreOffice in single colum. Copy/paste done by keyboard shortcuts. But then I have to “release” the keyboard and click “Sum” icon on toolbar to sum the column. I would like to do all of the tasks only by using keyboard.

What is the keyboard shortcut for Sum function?
Thanks

As far I can read there is currently no Sum-function shortcut. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39302

LibreOffice does not assign a keyboard shortcut for the Sum function by default. Here are two options. 1 uses the keyboard exclusively and 2 still uses the mouse, but may reduce the number of clicks.

Option 1: Create a macro that executes the Sum function and then assign a keyboard shortcut to the macro. Once the macro is written, go to Tools > Customize and click on the Keyboard tab. Once here, select the shortcut combination and macro you want to associate with it and click Save.

Option 2: Paste all your data from the TXT files into Calc. Then select the cell range that contains your data using the keyboard and then click the Sum button once. This will sum all the columns with one click.

Option 1:

  1. In Tools | Options | General | I have checked “Enable macro recording” option and restarted LibreOffice.
  2. In cell A1 I have written number 100 and in cell A2 I have also written number 100.
  3. Click on cell A3.
  4. Tools | Macro | Record Macro.
  5. Clicked on Sum button from toolbar.

(continue)6. Click on Stop Recording. And nothing happens!
Note: I have tried some other actions to macro record and at this stage it should offer an window to write a macro name.
So it looks like nothing is really recorded so that is why save window does not appear.

(continue) Is there any there other any other way of doing this? Like creating macro manually and copy/paste the macro code?er way of doing this? Like creating macro manually and copy/paste the macro code?

(continue) Option 2: There is even simpler way of doing it. Just click on the first empty row in the column of data and click on Sum button. LibreOffice automatically selects the cells above. I don’t like this option. I still need to release my keyboard and click on mouse. This is annoying.
