Image copy and Paste issue

It appears that when copying text and images from a web site, the text will paste fine and leave a box for the image that does not get added which can be done as a separate item and will copy, but will not copy with the text as part of the entire document. I do not know if MS Word does it this way or not, but i know it is an issue here and creates a lot of extra work.

Seems like the same problem as: Inserting a picture or photo in a libreoffice writer document
Going to mark this one as a dupe, as the other one has a lot more information on it

Problem really present when copying text and images from a web site in all popular browsers like Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera (in alphabetical order). Please consider filing a bug report

Well, it looks weird for me, because it happens that in my computer Ubuntu 11.04 really works the copy and paste even images… The tips will be update the system maybe in that way you can. By the way, in minimalistic distribution (Bodhi Linux 1.2) it doesnt work too, Ive been trying everything and never get the copy and paste, till I modified the systems cache options and nothing.

Copying the content using CTRL + SHIFT + V might solve your problem. If you copy an image from a browser using CTRL + SHIFT + V then you will get the option to insert it as a bitmap instead of HTML.

I have the same problem: I use Firefox 28.0 (64 bit) to copy an article with images. If I shift + ctrl + V I get a window on the bottom of the window “Blockable Items on Current Page” so that won’t work. If I just try to Copy by clicking “copy” from FireFox then go over to Liberoffice Writer Version 4.2.1.1 and try to paste with shift + ctrl + V the “Bitmap” is not a selection offered. Only HTML, HTML and something (don’t remember) and Text are offered. No Bitmap.
May be these newer versions have negated the fixes- don’t know. Just know something doesn’t work right for the copy/paste of graphics.
