How to display full file path in window title?

I coud not find setting to show the full file path in the window title bar. It just shows the file name. Is there an option for this somewhere?

This is enhancement request AOO#105909. There is currently no FreeDesktop equivalent enhancement request. Related AOO forums threads are here and here.

Hi @eesau,

Based on the paucity of replies, I’m going to guess that this feature doesn’t yet exist

Yes I want to do that, same file name but in different folders, it gets confusing which file is which and then you save to the wrong place!!!

Me too. And sometimes it’s not just ‘same filename in different folders’ but ‘on different drives’ (e.g., flash drive v. hard drive). Start saving multiple copies to different media (e.g., to have multiple backups) and it can get very confusing very quickly.

Me too. Same as Alan Saunders.

Something like a workaround:

The control ‘LoadURL’ which can be checked for the ‘Standard’ toolbar (default: leftmost) will show the full path/name. I virtually never use it for another purpose. Unfortunately this control has a fix width and I would prefer to have it wider or adjustable - but it is useful as it is, too. (Not every long path-name will fit in the window’s title-bar.)

By default, I think, the ‘LoadURL’ control is not checked.
