Connect to an existing database > Spreadsheet > Browse to your Excel file

That sounds like connecting to an Excel file, not actually importing records into the Base file.

Is that correct?

If so, how do you actually import the records into the Base file?

Should be no problem.

In Base, use Connect to an existing database > Spreadsheet > Browse to your Excel file.
