Crop Pictures in Writer

Hey Guys,

I am currently writing a manual and need to insert screenshots. Can I somehow crop the pictures directly in Writer without opening an extra programm?

You may find that the Crop function in LibreOffice is slightly disappointing, compared to competing productivity suites. I think it is the only function that has ever made me feel a bit embarrased when comparing it to Word...

When writing manuals I usually crop in a screenshot program and then insert into Writer. Shutter is a good one for Linux and Greenshot for Windows. But lately I have used ScreenPresso on Windows. It is not open source, but make very nice screen shots.

Well I've found it no too. You are right. Thanks for the tips. I will use an external program then.

Yes, you can. Right click the picture. From the menu choose Picture. And you will see Crop tab there.
