After many attempts, my attempts to install libre office have come to naught. Help!!! [closed]

I also had problem with 3.5.0. It appeared to install ok but would not run - quickly flash the splash screen and then disappear.

I resolved it by completely removing the previous version 3.4.3, including the program file directories and all application data. I also seemed to somehow get a non-functional Java install - although 3.4.3 didn't seem to mind.

Did a cleanup of my system using CCleaner - files and registry. Reinstalled Java, reinstalled LibreOffice 3.5.0. The first run went through a bunch of apparently initial setup and then quit. When restarted - all seemed to be well.

This is not really a question ;)

Which version were you trying to install? Under which OS?

Can you explain what happened and what you expected to happen?

I'm very sorry to hear you are having problems, but for anyone to help you we'll need more information. You will need to tell us at a minimum:

1. Details of the operating system you are using (Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux etc), including its version number and the kind of hardware you have.
2. The version of LibreOffice you're installing and where you got it from.
3. What you have tried to do and what happened when you did it.

We're all volunteers just like you, but I'm sure someone will try to help if you provide us with full information.
