I'm trying to find and replace all tabs in a document, because I need to remove all indentation from it for formatting purposes. However, when I try to find and replace the tabs with \t in the find box, nothing comes up. There are hundreds of tabs in the document--far too many for me to remove manually. What am I doing wrong?

I'm using the Mac version, in case that information is pertinent.

You need to click on the More Options button (bottom of Find & Replace dialog) and check the Regular Expressions box since \t is a regex code

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. It works perfectly now. Thank you very much!

I especially signed up to say thank you, Pedro for this tip. I was frustrated being not able to replace huge amount of empty paragraphs in provided texts. Now after cheking this Regular expression radiobutton it worsk like a charm!
