Insert images and image style

Today my boss asked me to make a document I would never do if its for my clients…

Create a document full of images in word, he cannot distinguish Word and Writer anyway, so as everyone else in that room.

and I found it was very difficult to understand how image integrated into document…

and more confused, there is no image style modifying its position in the document…

and no setting retain a constant image style…

Positions of images are defined by their “anchor” point. There is no need for a style.

Place an image into a writer file by paste or

insert/picture…

Right click on the picture and you can select the “anchor” menu.

If you want a picture to be on a certain page use “anchor / To Page” If you use To Paragraph or To Character the pictures can move with the paragraph to another page.

In my experience it is easier in Writer to place pictures than it is in Word.

The “right click” is correct in Windows. If yourOS works differently use “Format” from the main menu and select “Anchor”.

That take a lot of works without a style for anchor, as LibreOffice running very slow in document with pictures.

I found a workaround, insert a table then insert picture inside the table.

@jiero - this was a great idea! Congratulations!
