I've recently changed over from a PC environment to a Mac environment. I've installed Office Mac, which includes Word and have had no issues in terms of compatibility for my clients. However, I have one client that uses Word Perfect. Is there a way to use Libre Office to convert my Word files to Word Perfect? Please advise. Thanks!
Although LibreOffice has an impressive array of import/export tools, I believe that it currently can only import some WP files, but not export to any WP format.
What version of WP is your client running, and on what OS?
Based on this Wikipedia page, it appears that current versions of WordPerfect can import ODT files.
If your client is using a version of WP that supports this functionality, you could simply open up your documents using LibreOffice and save them as "ODF Text Document (.odt)".
I'm not sure if it's a possibility for your client, but if they install LibreOffice on their own machine then you wouldn't even have to convert documents for them -- they could just open the files you create directly.
LibreOffice is made available by volunteers around the globe, backed by a charitable Foundation. Please support our efforts: Your donation helps us to deliver a better product!
