There is interest in building a version of LO that runs on iOS (the operating system used by iPhones and iPads), but there are a few hurdles to overcome before that is possible.
One issue is that LO is currently available under a Free Software license (LGPLv3) that seeks to protect user's rights with respect to their devices. For example, the license gives the user the right to replace the software with a different/newer version of the software whenever they like.
Apple does not believe in giving users the freedom to replace the software running on their own hardware, and so software under the LGPL is not legally compatible with the Apple App Store. One way around this problem would be to jailbreak an iOS device.
