Hi, I have a problem. I have an excel file with a big formula consisting of a serie of if-conditions. When I open the file in the open calc app, all these formulas are truncated and therefore It produces an error in the cells where the formula is applied. This problem doesn't happen when the file is opened from Microsoft Excel, of course.

Why this happen?

Thanks

Can you upload a sample file? It seems like a limitation of the Excel import filter. Have you tried pasting the formula in an ODS file?

For complicated formulae, I type and format them in another editor, emacs in my case. This makes it easier to catch missing closing parentheses and to see the structure of a formula. When I'm satisfied, I paste it into calc.
