Hi,

I'm having some issues with the animations. I made a little example to illustrate my problem, you can also download it here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/405685/Untitled%201.odp

Example

So I got a list with some things, A, B and C. And some sub-entries: A1, A2, B1,... etc... I want A, B and C2 to become transparent on click to emphasize C and C1. So I made a simple animation to do just that.

Now when I play the slide show, C and C1 completely disappear! This is not what I intended, and also not what I told the animation to do. What's going wrong here?

Add C and C1 to your Custom Animation list by assigning them Transparency Effect with:

  • Start set to With previous
  • Amount set to 100%

and you will get the desired effect.

IMO it's quite unintuitive, but it works :) Thanks!

Yes, it seems Amount option in this case refers to opaqueness instead of transparency. And items not added to effect list should retain their behaviour without additional assigning.

Exactly. Can this be considered a bug or improvement, which I have to report somewhere?

You can try with Bugzilla.
