Hi I have a Problem since I updated today my Fedora 18 to 19 which provides Libreoffice 4.
I use it on my business Notebook which I work with and I need Calc just for my expense and here I have the problem.
When I open the xls everything is fine until I save it and reopen it.
I also can save the xls after editing as .ods and it will be fine.
Again from ods as xls I run into the same issue.
It looks like there is a problem with saving xls at all.
Borders, markings and colors are also gone, but not all affected are just cells with formulas like “=SUM()”. When you save it as xlsx you will loose everything, just the values will stay. I did not had this problems with Libreoffice 3 on Fedora 18.
Can you attach a few screenshots showing the problem (or upload them somewhere else and provide a link)? Alternatively, does the problem only exist for your current file, or does it occur in newly created files as well? Sometimes old files can become filled with cruft and this could be exacerbated by using a non-native file format.
There are currently around 25 open bugs relating to xls+v4.x_series. I would suggest having a look through those to see if any match the problems you are experiencing. You may have more than one match. If you do find any, please report then back here using the format “fdo#123456”. If you cannot find a match, please report that also as this could indicate a new bug needs to be raised to describe the particular problem you are experiencing.
