I make some tutorials with Writer, and I use many pictures. But all of my images (screenshot) in PNG format. All people know that size of same picture on JPEG is smaller than in PNG. If I do Edit with external tool, I will do many steps to convert the format. In example:
- I do right click to the picture, edit with external tool.
- Eye of GNOME opened. Ctrl+Shift+S, save as JPG.
- Delete first picture inside document.
- Copy picture (JPG) outside and paste in document. (*)
That is too long steps, and people will get it longer and longer if there are many pictures in document. It is different with this scenario:
- Right click on picture, convert to (select format:) JPG.
And this scenario for multiple pictures in a document:
- Click in a menu icon, select Convert All Pictures to (select format:) JPG.
Okay, and sure if a picture or all converted, old picture will be deleted. So there is only 1 picture remain. This feature will help many people to decrease/compress their document size (for sending or e-mail) and save many times because changing image format. That’s all of my idea.
