Searching for ".+" (regular expression) and format "italic" (or "cursive") doesn't work no more. The same with format "bold" or "bold + italic" does work as expected. A bug?

This has happened to me as well back in the days of OpenOffice. If you could rule out what reliably causes this, that would be just plain awesome!

Indeed, it does not seem to work right now (3.5.3.2). I added a comment to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47791.

Current status of fdo#47791 is NEW (bug grew to include several issues, only some of which have been fixed :-)
