I really agree with @manj_k that a reset should fix things for you, but if that doesn't work, please file a bug about this problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!

I had been running OpenOffice for several years when upon loading it one day I became stuck in a recovery loop. Even after deleting the file that was in recovery, OO would not load without crashing. That was when I decided to download LibreOffice to see if the problem was fixed. Well, I had no problems with LO for the first week, but now, every time I try to load Writer, it crashes and this time it isn't even a recovery loop. The thing just crashes. After cancelling the program and then re-loading it again, I get the recovery loop because of the previous crash.
