How can I uninstall 3.5 when I installed 4.1 on top of it?

I was using 3.5.7 and I upgraded to 4.1 without uninstalling the older version. Now, some docs open with 3.5 by default and then the program (running on 3.5) freezes and it won’t open. I’ve tried uninstalling 3.5 and leaving only 4.1 but I haven’t been able to. Both versions are currently installed and I want to uninstall 3.5 in order to avoid the recurring problems I’m having when I open a document without realizing it will open with 3.5 by default.

What is your Operating System? What exactly did you try to uninstall?

Using the Win7 control panel, uninstall LO4.1, then uninstall LO3.5. Delete the LibreOffice folder from Program Files (x86), then delete the LibreOffice folder in %appdata%. If you have a registry cleaning app, run it and clean your registry, then reinstall LO4.1.
