I have a simple formula in the form of:

C intersection D nsubseteq A intersection B

When I save the document, close it and reopen it and double click on the formula it gets auto-formatted:

size 12{C intersection D { { subseteq }}A intersection B} {}

with a lot of braces and unnecessary things that break how the formula is displayed. How do I get rid of the auto formatting?

P.S. I am using LibreOffice 3.5 on Win 7 x64, but the same thing happens on Ubuntu 12.04

LibreOffice keeps the formula, using ODT, the native file format of LibO.

Using a privative file format like .doc, always one can find some bugs, it's near to impossible make a perfect filter.

Have you verified that .doc have support for this expression?.

I haven't tried ODT, but I switched over to OpenOffice instead and it doesn't tend to do that.
