I'm running windows 7, however I'm having problems installing the latest 2 versions of Libre 3.45 and 3.5. I even uninstalled 3.43, but still I get the error message to close starter if you are running it. When I click Ok, the finish button comes up, however nothing installs. This is totally frustrating. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. In the mean time I went back and installed 3.4 with no issues. I know it's not a memory issue and i'm running an Asus icore5.

tnanks,

Neal

I’m having the same problem at first, then I delete the following folder (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice) and re-install LibreOffice 3.5.

I encounter the same problem but deleting folder (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice) did not solve it.

I had to launch the LibO_3.5.0_Win_x86_install_multi.msi from an administrator command box (the automatic UAC wasn't sufficient)

Sometimes the problem is related with the version of Java that is installed on your computer. Check if you have the latest version of Java (http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp) and then run back LibreOffice. Maybe it'll work.

I could not install LO 3.5 on Windows 7 64bit because a box popped up to tell me to quit the Quickstarter and then said it had been interrupted and no changes had been made to the system.

I installed the latest version of Java, uninstalled LibreOffice 3.4, deleted the relevant LO folders in Program Files and Program Files (32bit), deleted any LO folders in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ then restarted Windows. Success.

Double-clicking on a text file with the DOC extension would not open it until I had started LibreOffice Writer and (via Tools, Options) set the default for Load/Save as Microsoft Word XP/2003 etc. After that, double-clicking the file opened DOC files in LibreOffice (I don't have MS Word or Office installed).
