I'm currently working on a very large document that is broken up into many levels of numbering, for example 3.3.8.7.7.4. I have another document with comments against the numbered sections in my document. The search function in Writer does not index the numbering, so the numbers cannot be found when I am looking for them, leaving me to scroll through hundreds of pages to find the relevant sections.
I have looked for any search options, or other search modes that may allow me to search within the numbering, but I can't find anything. Have I missed something? If not I'm going to submit a feature request, as its a bit crazy the standard search function cannot do this.
Have you tried the navigator {F5}?
