Template file not lauched when importing from csv file

Hi,
in LibreOffice 4.1.4.2 on Windows XP I have created a new Calc template with two new cell styles. I named them MyCellStyle1 and MyCellStyle2. Then I have set LibreOffice to open this new template when creating new Calc document. When I start LibreOffice and from menu Format | Styles and Formatting I can see this two new styles are included in new Calc document. So far as expected.

Now the problem:

  1. With text editor create some text document with two columns separated by semicolon. E.g.: data1; data2

and save the document as e.g. myfile.csv
  2. In LibreOffice Calc, File | Open.
  3. Select myfile.csv.
  4. In Text Import select Separator Options | Separated by | Semicolon and click on OK.
  5. Document is successfully imported.

But now problem appears. When looking into Format | Styles and Formatting | Cell Styles tab and there are no styles MyCellStyle1 and MyCellStyle2. It looks like when opening a csv file the default template does not get started. Is there any special setting to tell Calc to start default template also when importing a csv file and not just when creating new ODF file?

    Thanks

I don’t know L, as workaround, open a new spreadsheet and open the CSV with Menu/Insert/Sheet or Sheet from file. You can link the CSV and when you like change the link in Menu/Edit/Links.

Insert | “Sheet from file” is a good work-around.

Just wondering is File | Open and opening csv file and not creating new file from template a bug?
