I have a CD with two saved Microsoft Access database files. One file is instantly recognized and imported by LibreOffice Base. The other access database will not import. When I try to do it, an ASCII Dialog box appears, and none of the items listed on that menu apply. Why is this impeding the importation of the 2nd database? Is there a way to eliminate the appearance of this ASCII dialog box in the process?
Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing? You can upload it elsewhere, edit your question and include a link. By “ASCII” dialog, do you mean the Text Import dialog? LO often resorts to displaying this dialog when it is unsure of the format of the file to be imported. You may need to ensure the 2nd file is in the format you expect.
Perhaps the two databases are in different formats ? i.e. created with different versions of Access ?
