I emailed 4 friends an attachment of a document to see if they could open it. The 2 UK friends couldn’t & only 1 of the US could. Why couldn’t the others open it? I suggested the ‘open with’ option, to no avail, :frowning: Thanks.

Btw, they can ALL open any doc attachments via MS Office 2020 Word

It will depend on the software they are using. Refer my answer here about the different levels of support between LibreOffice and the various versions of MS Office for the OpenDocument Format (ODF).
