I use MS Excel with “#” as decimal separator and “$” as date separator.
How to set “#” as decimal separator and “$” as date separator in LibreOffice?
How to customize locale settings?
Separators are very similar to MS Excel. I recommend to
- right click a cell
- select Format cells
- tab Numbers
and have a look how the various separator are defined and used.
Select what you need or create new formats according to what you see.
If you create a custom format don’t forget to click the yellow checkmark; you can also add a comment to format.
- Every time, every file I need format? It is not solution. What about “by default” format?
- I tray but I can not find correct format code what change decimal separator.
- What about customize my language settings? It is possible define my own decimal and/or date seperators?
@Mizkaste - I fully agree with your complaints: Every time, every file… I feel the same. May I propose you write an enhancement request:(https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/) (bug report with enhancement indication).
As for the decimal separator, could please advice and what you did, what you achieved and what exactly you want to do?
