I am exporting data from a program that automatically sends dollar amounts as $00.00 format, which Libre Office spreadsheet interprets as text. Other than formatting the cells as numbers and then re-entering each amount, is there a way to convert the entire column to numbers so I can manipulate the data?
Please, how do you get the data in LibreOffice, importing a file, pasting,…?
I found the solution. When I open the CVS file, I check “Detect Special Numbers” and all is well.
