This could be a misunderstanding from my part, but one of the reasons for linking styles would be to ensure that changes in one style affects styles that it links to.

I cant get this to work in Libre office 3.5, running 64-bit windows 7.

Can it be that the functionality is different from Word where this feature is called "based on"?

Added: Indentation does not fly for linked styles. Setting a new indentation on the base style does not show in styles that are linked to the base style Why? Bug?

linked is in the terms of "inherit non explicitly set formatting from the linked style" So only whats on displayed on the Organize tab is set in the actual style, the rest is inherited from the base style (and it's base style up to the default style)

So you need to be more specific on what exactly doesn't work.

Ok,

Suppose you have a Header style linked to Header_base style. If I then change characteristics for the Header_base it should also be reflected in the Header style. Change of indentation for Header_base should also affect the Header style, but it does not. /Rgds
