I have downloaded the latest LO to both my Mac and my pc, and am attempting to connect them to a MySQL db on my remote server. In step 1 of the wizard I click the "Connect to an existing database" button, and in the drop down I select "MySQL", and then click "Next". In step 2 I am then offered 2 options, to connect with either ODBC or JDBC. I have seen screen shots showing the presence of a third option, "Connect directly" but this 3rd option doesn't appear on either my Mac or PC. Any idea what I need to do to enable that option?

Thanks!

You should download the MySQL extension from OpenOffice here: http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/mysql_connector
