Why does font change using hyperlinks in a Table of Contents

Using MS Word 10. I have a Table of Contents (TOC). Using Headings 1, 2 and 3. All titles from document are included in the TOC if they are assigned as Headings 1 or 2. Hyperlinks work fine. The TOC is all CAPITAL LETTERS. Heading 1 is all capital letters 14 font. Heading 2 is all capital letters, 12 font. Heading 3 is upper and lower case letters, 10 font. Headings 1 and 2 are hyperlinked in the TOC. Heading 3s, are not. I go to a Heading 3 title. I Change the title to a Heading 2 from Heading 3. I go to the TOC and either right click and choose Update Field or click F9. Once I click Entire Table, the entire TOC reverts to ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. In addition, some of the CAPITAL LETTERS are not all the same size even though they are all CAPITAL LETTERS. Is my TOC possessed???

Please edit your question to indicate: operating system, LO version, and file format (DOC, DOCX). Thanks.

I think your TOC is not possessed - although it would be a nice and easy answer.

Please note that this is not a Microsoft forum but a LibO forum. What you report about your TOC is not nice but things like this don’t happen in LibO Writer. Maybe you consider to use LibO instead. doc-files open in LibO and you can save files created in LibO even in the doc-format. I am a former MS Office user working now very happily with LibO.
