First time here? Check out the FAQ!
hi, we use an engineering tool called FeatureCam, and this has added plugins to enable the creation of word docs directly using the MSWORD.OLB.
Is it possible to achieve this using writer? This has always been my sticking point in adopting LibreOffice as a corporate tool
thanks
Mike
I assume you shall ask the producer of FeatureCam instead here.
Background:
First, an OLB file is apparently some kind of Object Library File. This file 'MSWORD.OLB' is probably something created as a plugin to MS-Word by the authors of FeatureCam.
FeatureCam provides software for milling machines (etc..)
I can't seem to find information on this file or how the creation of Word docs works. In general, my guess is that the OLB won't directly work with LibreOffice, but it's possible that there's another way to get output from FeatureCam and shove it into a particular file format.
Why is export to a Word doc desirable? (that just seems like a strange format to use for Engineering; I'd expect a CAD format or an image format instead)
LibreOffice is made available by volunteers around the globe, backed by a charitable Foundation. Please support our efforts: Your donation helps us to deliver a better product!
