There is a file in the installation directory that is used (supposedly) to get user data from an Active Directory (AD) or LDAP directory.

File is located in \%PROGRAMFILES\LibreOffice N.n\share\registry\

The file is oo-ad-ldap.xcd.sample and contains data to be customised. Once edited, the file name should be renamed to oo-ad-ldap.xcd in the same folder.

Question is, after placing the right server name and other AD parameters in the file, renaming it as indicated, nothing seems to show up. So, where can I see the data taken from AD in LibreOffice?

And how can I debug the AD access, other that disturbing the sysadmin peacefull siesta?

Hi @Olivier,

Given the dearth of replies to your question, I'd guess that this feature either isn't working properly, or we need better docs on the topic! :-)

I'll try to poke the appropriate people to take a look at this question and see if they can't supply you with more information. If that doesn't work, we can file a documentation request, which in turn can spawn a bugfix request if the feature isn't working as it should!

Thanks!

Hi @Olivier, I've asked a few people, and it looks like your best bet is to please file a documentation request.

Thanks!
