I cannot find libre when it asks me how do you want to open the file

I have installed Libre yesterday and removed the Free 30 day version of Microsoft.

You can assign .doc .docx files to be open in libreoffice by choosing strart menu - settings - control panel - folder options and in the folders type tab you can choose the program that will open the .doc .docx .odt etc files.
