When I open a pptx file or whatever the default power point is, it open with that icon (second from the right) and a .docx open with the icon on the far right in plank. Why doesn’t it open in the libre writer and impress icons?
Could you please place the details explaining your question, within the window dedicated to this?
May I suggest you to replace the title of your question with: “Wrong icon and application for Writer and Impress”.
Please check if the options are set correct.
Tools > Options > Load/Save > Mircosoft Office > check all possibilities concerning Microsoft Office files
If this doesn’t solve your problem, please explain in more details what you did and what OS, LibO version you are using and add more detailed screen shots.
I am on elementary OS Luna (based on ubuntu 12.04) Libre office 4.3.1 via the libreoffice ppa. And all of the MS office icons were already selected.
