I’m trying to update a copy of LibreOffice. It keeps asking for admin privilege. I’m the only user and I am the admin. How do I get past this?
Which OS are you using? Maybe you check your list of users to see if you are registered twice or need a password etc. What happens when you install another application?
VI$TA+: If UAC is on, it doesn’t allow you to avoid getting asked for it, instead it simply asks instead of wanting pw. You can bypass that by creating compatibility settings database for it with http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7352 . Otherwise there’s something else off.
