I have made a slide show and wish to copy it to a CD or DVD

I assume the question was more directed towards creating a video of a presentation. Currently there is no way to do this with LibreOffice alone.

While you can export to flash, and many computers can play it back, it still isn't a video you could play back on your DVD-Player.

The only way to create a video is to use screen-recording software to record your own screen and then burn that video to a CD/DVD using CD/DVD burning applications.

Given that OP mentions a DVD or a CD, I'd bet that he's not playing this back on a DVD player. My guess is that he just wants to give the document to someone or to present it somewhere. A flash drive might be a better solution for him. (of course, we're all just speculating at this point :-)

In most cases, you can either use a dedicated CD burning software or the operating system's file manager. See here how to do it with Windows Vista (and presumably 7).
