Different of Libre Fresh and Still

Excuse me.
I’m newbie here. I want to install Libre for my Computer. But I don’t know what type of Libre I have to Download. Please tell me what is different of Libre Fresh and Still? and what Type of Libre i have to download?

“fresh” and “still” versions differ on the 2nd number in the version number.

Current - “still” version is 4.2.x - “fresh” version is 4.3.x

“fresh” version has the newer features
“still” versions have less bugs

Conservative upgraders typically change to the “fresh” version when the 3rd number in the version number is >=4.

EDIT
As @ Lupp said

… 4.2.7 was “bad”. 3.6.7 was
“good”, but had less features. And
sometimes there are regressions. …

What I wrote in the first part of my answer should be regarded as a rule-of-thumb. I was very happy with the 4.2 branch until I found in 4.2.6 or 4.2.7 a Calc bug I could not tolerate for MY work. Thus I tested a portable version of 4.3 and changed over to 4.3.4.

4.2.7 might be an exception.

I still don’t buy that statement that less often updated Still versions are less buggy than frequently updated Fresh and, especially, dev versions.

I would like to suggest considdering that the question (as most things in life) might depend on some circumstances. If there was no relevant implementation of new features or rewriting of code for some reason, the newer version should surely have fewer bugs. If we see the start of a rewriting campaign or a rapid enhancement of features the newer version will not yet be thoroughly bugfixed. … 4.2.7 was “bad”. 3.6.7 was “good”, but had less features. And sometimes there are regressions. …

@ROSt53 :Sorry! I overemphasised my personal opinion. Of course I should have considered its being gravely biased by experiences with Calc which is the only component I sometimes use to nearly the full extent of its features. Draw comes next. Writer I simply use now and then, and as it was in 2005 is by far enough for me. I never use Impress, and with respect to Base I just try to be a bit informed. Calling V4.2.7 “bad” was an efflux of bugs and a new misconception in Calc which is now corrected

@Lupp - Don’t worry I share your opinion. All our judgment are based on personal perception and there is no standard against which an office suit can be compared. As for the 4.2 I would have gone until end of life but than I found a bug in Calc which forced me to change to 4.3 . The 3.6 I used until end-of-life and was very happy. — Unfortunately we sometimes have regressions. With open source SW you know the bugs, with proprietary SW like MSO all is hidden. — I am very happy with 4.3!

After posting about several problems I had with the “still” version here, I installed the “fresh” version and found that it didn’t have them. So the “fresh” had less bugs than the “still.” Lesson learned.

You might consider reading my comment above. Some supposed progress (in lessons learned or other matters) might be judged erroneously.

Keep this priority:

  1. An RC for the Fresh branch from the development versions

  2. An RC for the Still branch from the development versions

  3. Latest Fresh version

  4. Latest Still version
