First time here? Check out the FAQ!
Some years ago OO used to offer textured backgrounds. Currently when I try Format->Page->Background->As Graphic->Browse there are no options to choose from.
$HOME/.config/libreoffice/3/user/gallery/ isn't actually empty, but none of those files passes the Browse filter.
Do I need to install a separate package? Is there a site for downloading graphics files?
I'm running LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 on Kubuntu 12.04.
Thanks, -jvh
Indeed, there was before a folder where you could chose some textured backgrounds. There is a package you should install, which is openclipart-libreoffice but AFAIK there is no textured background in it.
However, there are many sites you can use for graphic resources.
EDIT : ok, I just found another way. Go to Tools > Gallery. In the newly opened frame, select "Backgrounds". Right-click on the one you want, and then Add > Background > Page
That works for me (on Windows) via
Format → Page → Background → As Graphic → Browse...→ Program_Files\LibreOffice_3.5\share\gallery\www-back.
@hyogapag: Tools → Gallery... works fine, too. :)
