English, Writer, 4.4.2, Windows 8. I recently upgraded to 4.4.2 from 4.1.6. Now when choosing a file, an icon appears in the task bar and to open the file the icon has to be clicked. Previously choosing a file automatically opened the file. Is there a way to set up 4.4.2 to function like 4.1.6 with regard to opening files? Thanks for your help.
Click or double click on the file name in your explorer. What works depends on your windows setting.
