Then, it would be the best to add a comment to that question or to edit the question describing what you tried exactly (especially, the path / directory you tried to put the file).

Ladrig, No. There is not a phone number you can call. Sorry. This site is staffed completely by volunteer users of LibreOffice, and none of us are prone to give out our personal phone numbers, for obvious reasons. Now, in answer to your question about saving your files, I agree wit the earlier answer you got, that your problem is almost certainly not a LibreOffice issue, but rather one dealing with basic computer literacy. There are two ways to save a file, SAVE, and SAVE AS. If you choose SAVE AS, you are presented with the options of what to name the file, what format to save it in, AND where to save it. Look closely at the path that is coming up as default, and experiment with changing that path. I hope you find a solution to your issue, but I really do not think it is a LO problem.

I think you're right about the computer literacy thing (lol) and having to change the path. Still not sure how to do that though. When I hit save, the pop up box says save as "search results in documents", I enter the file name, but then it won't let me save to any of the options (ODF, Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, Text, etc.)

Oh, just changed the 'save as' to 'owner, documents' and it's working. Duhhh...THANK YOU!!!!!
