Button "Merge Cells" without centering!

There is a button in LibreOffice that says “Merge and Center Cells”.
In the menu, there is also a function “Format” > “Merge Cells” > “Merge Cells”. So, from the menu it is possible to merge the cells without centering the contents.
By right-clicking on the button and looking into the “Available buttons” submenu, I don’t see the “Merge Cells” available as a button, only “Merge and Center Cells”.

In my history with LibreOffice Calc, I had hundreds or thousands of cases where I wanted to merge cells. But I never ever wanted to center the contents. In the past I used this button, and then corrected the cells back to align: left. Now I learned that I can use the function from the menu instead.

I would ask, as a feature request, to make a new button available for “Merge Cells” without centering.
Thanks!

Hi

  1. Merge without centering is available via the context menu and
  2. The button is also available: Tools Customize ToolsBars, click Add Category:
Format, Commands: Merge Cells, click Add
