Decimal separator key bug?

I find dot as natural way of writing numbers (calculators, programming, …).

Win 7 64 English, LO 4.4.3.2 local sl_SI

Win: Control panel → Region and Language → Formats: Slovenian → Additional settings: Decimal symbol changed from comma to dot for Numbers and Currency.

Win: Control panel → Region and Language → Keyboards and Languages → Change keyboards… → “Slovenian custom”, all other keyboard layouts are removed

LO Calc → Options → Language Settings → Languages → User interface: Default - English (USA)

LO Calc → Options → Language Settings → Languages → Locale settings: Default - Slovenian

LO Calc → Options → Language Settings → Languages → Decimal separator key: does not influence behaviour!

I have changed keyboard layout with Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator. I have changed comma to dot on numeric part. So I have installed “Slovenian custom” keyboard (I change keyboard numeric comma to dot on Ubuntu as well).

When I press dot on numeric part of keyboard I get comma and Calc uses comma as decimal separator. I would like that keyboard writes dot as with all other programs installed on computer, and that LO Calc uses dot as locale settings (I have LO Calc Default - Slovenian locale settings that are modified with windows control panel settings, I guess).

How to do that?

I looks like LO Calc uses its own locale language settings…

Best regards,
Peter

While I dont’t know help, I hope you get your ways. But surely there is nothing “natural” in using the dot (“full stop”) as an “intra-number” delimiter. In consideration of the frequency the importance, and the danger of confusion with regard to the decimal delimiter we should surely better use a dedicated character for the purpose. For the EU itself and all of its members except UK, IRL, MLT the comma is the standard. This also for all the successors of the SU, Turkey, m/o South America …
