Hello

I am trying trouble with the ROWS function in LO 3.5.0rc3 on my iMac. If I put the formula =ROWS($A$1:$A1) and copy and past it into cells A2 to A5 I get the following formulas: A2=ROWS($A$2:$A2) result =1 A3=ROWS($A$3:$A3) result =1 A4=ROWS($A$4:$A4) result =1
A5=ROWS($A$5:$A5) result =1

What I would expect and need is: A2=ROWS($A$1:$A2) result =2 A3=ROWS($A$1:$A3) result =3 A4=ROWS($A$1:$A4) result =4
A5=ROWS($A$1:$A5) result =5

For some reason the absolute cell reference to cell $A$1 does not stick. It does not matter which column I try it in. However if I save the file and open it in Open Office I can copy and paste the formula with no trouble, save the file, reopen in LO and it works fine. But that is a pain of a work around.

Any ideas?

Thanks

MRB

One option, reset the user profile: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

And update an X.X.0rcX, is not a good option release. http://www.libreoffice.org/download
