With Firefox 15, i was able to find out how to preview open tabs just like IE via taskbar in Windows 7.
Is it possible (to view recent documents via taskbar) in LibreOffice too?

Based on the number of replies you've received, it sounds like there may not be a way to view recent docs in this fashion.
If a new build of LibreOffice does not have this feature, please file an enhancement bug and provide as much information about this new feature as possible. Don't forget to mark your bug as an 'enhancement'. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker.
