I've installed 3.6.1 several times and on start up it crashes. Am running Windows 8 preview OS. No problem running until recently. I have unistalled and installed several times and same problem. Any ideas how to fix?
If LibO crash occurs, then try to reset user profile as decribed here http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile If Windows 8 crash occurs (but why there was "no problem running until recently") then report a bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice with detailed description and screenshots (if available)
Changing the user profile seems to have worked! Thanks much y'all!
Outside chance it is the shlxthdl_x64.dll or shlxthdl.dll LibreOffice 3.6.1 shell extension causing the problem.
Try doing a custom installation and deselecting the Windows Explorer shell extension to see if that resolves.

I tried answer #1 and that did not work. :( Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
