If you create a regular document in Writer with two columns, how do you switch the cursor from one column to the other to write text in either column?
I split my page in two columns in a Writer document but the cursor stays on the left column. How do I make it to go to the right column so that I can write some text in there?
Thanks for the help.

I think I solved the problem. Instead of working with columns, I'll just use a text frame. Thanks everybody.

Normal text flow for columns is down the left column until the end of the column and then back to the top of the right column.
To go directly to the right column select the menu items Insert > Manual Break ... > Column break.

If you want to create some sort of "synoptic", tabular layout, you may be better off using tables.
