How do you format two distinct series such that one shows as points and the other as lines? Tried format data series but that did not do the trick.

"Format data series" works perfectly for me (Win 7, LO 3.6.1.2). Which LO version are you using? What does "did not do the trick" mean - no effect, unexpected effect, error message?)
