Windows 7 allows you to hide fonts you probably won't use but don't want to uninstall. LibreOffice still shows these fonts in their list even though I have them hidden. It makes it difficult to sort through the list of fonts. Is there a way to hide fonts in LibreOffice?

Would be nice indeed - good topic for an enhancement request... - Interestingly, MS Word (Office 2010) shows hidden fonts, too - so i wonder if this feature is already accessible on application level.

tohuwawohu is right, it can not be solved on a application level.

You have two options to get rid of unwanted fonts which are stored in Windows\fonts and in the registry and this is displayed in any application:

  • Delete the unwanted font from the Fonts folder permanently
  • Move the unwanted font to another folder. If you need it in the future just copy it back to the Fonts folder.

There might be some free programs out there to do this job.
