How to type Indian Languages from keyboard?

I need to type Indian languages from keyboard.

I don't know anything about indian languages but for windows I would approach it this way:

Install a second keyboard (software not hardware) for your indian language. Go to Control Panel -> Region & Language, click tab "Keyboards and languages", button Change keyboards... a new window opens, in the tab general Add a new keyboard, which you can select from a BIIIIG list.

The problem is now to find a reference for your hardware keyboard to the 2. software keyboard -which key relates to which-.

You can find stickies here.

Second Solution: Use Windows Character map or in LO Insert-> Special Character to locate your letters and copy them one by one into your documents (not very fast not pretty). You also have to find a font that includes your letters.

I hope it helps or gives you an idea how to solve you problem.
