When I try to open my saved .rtf on my Mac it does not open. I get a general error input/output error instead. What can I do to recover my document.

If installing the latest release doesn't seem to fix this problem, please file a bug and provide a list of steps that can reproduce it. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!

I experienced the same problem, e.g. with this file:

File does not seem to be corrupt, can be opened in WordPad.

This file is opened in LibO 3.6.2.2 on Windows XP without any problems. I see no any error message. Document contains 12 pages.

Could open the file with LO 3.6.2.2 on Win 7 Home 64-bit wirh no problems at all. Maybe Mac related?

Just to know if the file has been saved incorrectly: Does the file size suggest that there is data inside the file?
