Using LibreOffice 3.6.1 for Windows, I get a "General input/output error." when I open some .WPD files. The WordPerfect file linked below has this error:

Any idea why it is doing it for these specific type of WordPerfect files?
You need to report a bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice with detailed description, problem file and screenshots (if available).
Your Sample File ap_stats.wpd (on WinXP):
The same error message with LibreOffice 3.6.2.2(RC) / 3.5.7.1(RC) / 3.5.6.2 / 3.7.0.0.alpha0+(master 2012-09-18).
No error message with LibreOffice 3.4.6 / 3.3.4, but have opened an empty document.
Your file ap_stats.wpd could be opened with OpenOffice.org 3.3.0 / 3.2.1:
→ Sample File .odt (opened with OOo 3.3.0, saved as ap_stats_OOo330.odt)
But could not be opened in Apache Open Office 3.4.1 (import dialog appears). Report AOO bug here https://issues.apache.org/ooo/enter_bug.cgi
