Using Ubuntu 12 and LibreOffice 3.5.
If I try to save a new document using "Save As" with the "Save with Password" box checked, when I have filled in the password in the pop up window and hit enter I get the following error message:
Error saving the document testpass1.
General Error.
General input/output error
There is no problem saving any LibreOffice file if without a password. I can not save any with a password. I do not think this is a permissions problem. I have tried saving files in my /home/Documents folder with edfault permissions and with -rw --- ---.
I want to have a password on some files that even root can not bypass. What should I try next?
Download and install version 3.6.2.2 from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ and test what would be in the latest version. In couple of days “release candidate” will become offical 3.6.2.2 release.
